“Winning the HIL is special because it´s one of the toughest league in the world”

In the context of the winning of the HIL Indian Hockey League 2025 with the SG Pipers, the goalkeeper of the tournament Bansari Solanki, accept talking a few minutes by IG with El observador Córdoba.

First of all, she started saying what does it means for her being champions of the HIL Indian League, one of the toughest league in the world that reflects the hard work, discipline, and belief the entire team showed throughout the tournament. After that, she explained every match was challenging, especially the teams with strong penalty corner units. The Indian GK must be focus and alert for every attempt.


Second, she defines how the argentinians hockey players were in the field: great passion, skill and strong game understanding. Agree that they play with intensity and team spirit, and their experience at the international level adds a lot of value to the squad underline. Then, she continues the way she prepared in the way of mentally as well as physically.


Finally, she talked about the level of this season comparing last year.


1)    ¿What does it means for u being champions of the HIL?

It means a lot. Winning the HIL is special because it´s one of the toughest league in the world. It reflects the hard work, discipline, and belief the entire team showed throughout the tournament.

 

2)    ¿Which opponent was the most difficult for u? For example Gorzelany was a brave player in the corner because of his shoots.

Every match was challenging, especially against teams with strong penalty corner units. Facing powerful and confident shooters always pushes you to stay focus and alert for every attempt

 

3)    Your team have plenty of argentinians, ¿what can u say me about? For example Castellaro is really good seen in ARG

They bring great passion, skill and strong game understanding. They play with intensity and team spirit, and their experience at the international level adds a lot of value to the squad.

 

4)    U r the best GK in the tournament. How did you prepare before the match? Mentally and physically

I focus on good recovery, sharp training sessions, and staying physically read. Mentally, I worked on staying calm, trusting my preparation, and taking each situation one step at a time.

 

5)    ¿Which differences u seen between last year and this? For example Freeke Moes was better than Albertario

This season was more competitive. Teams were better prepared, the pace was higher, and quality of hockey improved overall. It shows how the league keeps raising its standards every year
